Darren taught the staff from Maples Care Home in Bexley Heath, London, the level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work qualification.

This First Aid certificate is valid for 3 years and is accredited by OFQUAL.

The 6 hour course covered the following topics:

• What is Emergency First Aid? • Legislation • Responsibilities • Action in an emergency • Primary survey • Secondary assessment • The respiratory system • Resuscitation • Disorders of respiration • Adult basic life support • Foreign objects • Disorders of the circulation • Minor burns and scalds • Epilepsy • Wounds and bleeding

The 11 staff were fully interactive with the course. They participated fully, and there were a lot of laughs along the way.

Many thanks to the staff at Maples Care home for their hospitality and providing the venue.

Everyone was successful in obtaining their qualification.

The 7 staff that attended joined in with everything that was expected of them.

Darren taught the level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work Course on behalf of Bodyaid Solutions Peterborough, at Standground Sports Center, Peterborough.

The candidates all worked in the fitness industry either as Personal Trainers, or Sports Massage Therapists. It is a must for all people that work in this industry to have a first aid qualification. Some Insurance companies will not insure you if you do not have this certificate.

The qualification is valid for 3 years, and is accredited by OFQUAL.

The course content included:

Level 2, Emergency First Aid at Work Course @ You & Beyond Jewelers, Stamford 27th Feb 2015

Darren taught the level 2 Emergency First Aid at Work course to the staff at You & Beyond Jewelers in Stamford. It was taught over 2 evenings, so that all the staff could attend.

The staff requested the training following an incident with a child that came into their shop, and began to choke on a sweet. Luckily the child’s airway cleared, but the staff decided they would feel more confident in dealing with situations if they had the training.

The qualification they all gained is accredited by OFQUAL, and is valid for 3 years.

Equipped Magazine Article

MJD Training and NUCO Training Ltd appear in March 2015 Edition of Equipped Magazine.

Darren the Director/Trainer for MJD Training LTD is also a lead trainer for NUCO training LTD. He teaches train the trainer courses in First Aid and the level 3 Health & Safety Compliance qualifications.
