Challenging Behaviour course at the Mayflower Care Home, Gravesend, Kent. 21st & 22nd November 2013.
Darren & John delivered 2×1 day Challenging Behaviour courses to the staff at the Mayflower Care Home, Gravesend, Kent.
The course is aimed at staff that work/care for people who suffer from dementia and schizophrenia.
The course looks at ways that staff can make themselves more aware of the behaviour of their residents. How to identify triggers of their clients, and then if all else has failed to use Safety Intervention Techniques.
Some of the techniques used include:
Defence against hair grabbing. Defence against strangle holds in an open area, and against a wall.
The 1 day courses were received well by the staff at the Mayflower. They are always a pleasure to teach.
Many thanks for the positive feedback that all staff gave, and a big thank you for your hospitality.
See our Reviews page for the positive comments the staff made.
