Level 3 First Aid at Work Course @ Cummins Generator Technologies, Peterborough.
This nationally recognised course is taught over 18 hours. It is valid for 3 years and regulated by OFQUAL.
The course is separated into 2 units.
Course syllabus includes:
• Legalities, responsibilities and reporting • Assessment of the situation • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty • Fractures and spinal injuries • Shock (including Anaphylaxis) • Control of bleeding • Resuscitation • Bandaging • Heart attacks • Choking • Head injuries • Shock • Eye injuries • Poisoning • Chest injuries • Strains • Sprains • Burns • Asthma • Diabetes • Epilepsy. AED awareness
Subject to assessment, all participants will be issued with a First Aid at Work certificate (and wallet card) regulated by OFQUAL. This qualification is valid for three years which can be re-newed by attending a suitable Two-Day re-qualification course. It is strongly recommended that all First Aiders attend an annual refresher programme of a minimum three hours duration.
