First Aid and Manual Handling at Age UK, Sleaford, Lincolnshire.

Darren delivered First Aid and Manual Handling training to the staff at Age Uk in Sleaford, Lincolnshire on 15th March 2013.

Darren delivered specific aspects of First Aid that were relevant to the role of Age Uk. The 4 hour course included the following topics: Responsibilities of a First Aider, Dealing with an Unconscious Casualty who is breathing normally. Dealing with an Unconscious Casualty who is not breathing, Choking, Heart Attacks, Strokes, Bleeding, Epilepsy, Shock and Hypothermia.

This was then followed by a 2 hour session of Manual Handling. The safe lifting of objects.

The people from Age Uk were fantastic to teach. They participated fully, and made it very enjoyable to teach. I think they even managed to make me blush on a couple of occassions. I’m looking forward to our next encounter.

Many thanks for the positive feedback that you gave.
