Two-Day , Level 3, First Aid at Work (Re-qualification) Course

It is a requirement of the Health & Safety law that employers provide a safe and healthy environment to work in.
If your assessment of First Aid needs highlights the need to maintain the qualifi cation of your First Aiders, then this course will provide you with that. This comprehensive two-day course covers a wide range of First Aid emergencies, enabling all participants to deal with an emergency situation with confidence in a prompt, safe and effective way. In addition to this, should there have been any change to protocols during their initial qualification, then this will be updated.
This course will give the participants a qualification to the highest level of First Aid, meeting the statutory requirements of the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981.

A minimum of 12 hours spread over at least two days. Ideally, the course should be run over two consecutive days, but we have the flexibility to accommodate your specific needs if you so desire.


A range of subjects are covered including:-
• Legalities, responsibilities and reporting • Infection control • Assessment of the situation • resuscitation • Choking • Dealing with an unresponsive casualty • Bandaging • Shock • Control of bleeding • Eye injuries • Fractures • Head injuries • Poisoning • Strains • Control of bleeding • Sprains • Burns and scalds

Subject to assessment, all participants will be issued a First Aid at Work certificate and a wallet card accredited by OFQUAL, valid for a further three years.

A maximum of 12 students can be accommodated on this course and each participant must have a valid First Aid at Work qualifi cation that has not lapsed by more than 28 days.

We are able to deliver this course on your site, subject to a pre-course assessment of your premises, reducing your costs in respect of additional time out and travelling.
