Safety Intervention Training

2 Day Safety/Physical Intervention Training at the Mayflower Care Home, Gravesend. 19th & 20th September 2013.

Darren and John delivered the 2 day Safety/Physical Intervention training to the staff at the mayflower care Home, Gravesend, Kent.

This 2 day course is aimed at aiding staff that work with residents suffering from dementia.

Sufferers if Dementia cannot always communicate the way they are feeling. they cannot always tell us if they are in pain or suffering from an illness. with this frustration these people then can become violent.

The aim of this course is to make staff aware of the warning signs. Using their everyday skills to communicate and interpret the behaviour of the people in their care.

Using physical restraint has to be a very last resort, this course is their to support the staff and the residents and aid them in carrying out their daily duties safely.

The course was met well by all the staff. It is always a pleasure to teach at the Mayflower.

We look forward to meeting you all again soon.

See the reviews page for the positive feedback from the Mayflower Staff.
